Ebenezer Baptist Church Elevator Tower Addition

This was a pro-bono project I did in conjunction with my work on the Historic Preservation Commission in Staunton. The church had a plan from the elevator manufacturer to add an elevator tower, but this was strictly an engineering document and lacked empathy with the existing historic church. I modified the scheme to give it what was missing.

The second part of the story is that they failed to match the brick on the existing church during construction. We are now trying to rectify this with a brick staining technique.
